Acts of a Random Thought

I would like to first thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit with us today.  If this is your first visit to the Acts of a Random Thought Community website, I would like to personnally welcome you and invite you to be enlightened by the various amounts of information that are within these pages.  If you are Veteran of the A.R.T. Community Website, welcome back as you get your regular dosage of inspiration.

Our focus is to encourage and assist in the personal, character, and educational development of the young men in our community and in our schools.  We introduce the young men to what we like to call "Poet-Ucation", which is to be educated via the written and spoken word of Poetry.  The young man have an opportunity to be a part of a great program called The Man Up Initiative.   This program focuses on enhancing the communicative arts of each participant.  Reading, writing, and performing poetry helps develop various skills needed to not only be successful in school but be successful in life. 

Our goal is to help each young man achieve what he dreams, by teaching him about accountability and responsbility.  We provide group mentoring and discussions called "Man Talk" were the young men are able to be mentored by positive male role models and bond with other like minded young men to help each other grow.  Thru journaling, writing exercises, and poetry we will nurture each young man from the inside out.
